Gary Sinise began acting at the age of 16 during his sophomore year in high school, but it was his portrayal of Lt. Dan in the 1994 Oscar winning film “Forrest Gump” that brought him mainstream attention and instant recognition as that pivotal character.  Due to the film’s success, Gary has earned nominations for an Academy Award, Golden Globe and the Screen Actors Guild Award and has received Best Supporting Actor Award from the National Board of Review, and the Commander’s Award from the Disabled American Veterans.  Gary has gone on to take starring roles in numerous hit films:  the acclaimed “Apollo 13” opposite Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon, the thriller “Ransom” with Mel Gibson and Rene Russo, and Brian DePalma’s psychological thriller “Snake Eyes.”   Currently, Gary stars as Detective ‘Mac’ Taylor and is also producer of CBS’ highly successful CSI:  NY.

 

Coming from a family with steep military roots coupled with a desire to contribute following the attacks on September 11, 2001, Gary Sinise formed the Lt. Dan Band and has traveled the world providing entertainment and encouragement to troops stationed abroad.  A show comprised of original tunes along with highly recognizable favorites from artists like Alabama, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Evanescence and others, audiences everywhere will enjoy this heartfelt rock & roll show!
